Back to Helping Your Bottom Line
Thanks to a new state law implemented in late 2021, solar and storage can now provide businesses with locations in Illinois some of the cheapest electricity in the United States. Businesses, school districts, and other public agencies are saving millions and redirecting those dollars freed up from utility bills to other uses.

“ForeFront took on our solar energy projects from beginning to end. We pay them for the electricity at a lower rate than we paid before, and this will result in a cost savings of over $1 million for our facilities.” - Kenny Eplin, Energy Committee Co-chair
Aisin Illinois

“We see the millions of dollars in utility bills saved thanks to these projects as an opportunity to reinvest taxpayer dollars directly into student education, allowing us to more effectively educate tomorrow’s leaders.” - Dr. Scott Rowe, Superintendent
Huntley School District 158

"With the money saved over the next 25 years of the solar project’s life, we’ll be able to reinvest those dollars into other programs in order to better serve our youth.” - Gary Urwiler, Executive Director
Mooseheart Child City & School
The renewable energy program in Illinois works on a waitlist that is first-come, first-served. Entities across the state are starting to actively book their places in the queue.
Don’t delay.
What is needed to secure a spot in the queue?
- Approved interconnection agreement
- Proof of site control (ESA or site license)
- Non-ministerial permits (electrical, building, etc.)
- A few more items
Our energy experts, engineers, and incentive specialistsmanage the entire process for you at no up-front cost (certain restrictions apply).
The most lucrative incentives will be depleted first, so entities that start the process sooner will secure the most optimal savings rates.
