State Center Community College District saves over $18 million by going solar.
State Center Community College District needed to cut long-term electricity costs across multiple campuses without disrupting parking or using upfront capital.
ForeFront Power deployed 7.4 MW of solar across four SCCCD campuses in carefully phased construction under a no-upfront-cost Power Purchase Agreement.
The portfolio is expected to save SCCCD up to $18 million in energy costs over 20 years while providing clean, on-site power for students and faculty.
State Center Community College District (SCCCD) partnered with ForeFront Power in March 2017 to provide 7.4 megawatts (MW) of solar across four of its main campuses. Each solar project was carefully phased to minimize parking disruption for students and faculty. The projects are expected to save the District up to $18 million in energy costs over twenty years via a Power Purchase Agreement framework with no upfront cost.
