WHY LEASE?
Benefits of a Lease
Transform available space into a long-term financial asset through solar or energy storage development.
Generate long-term income
These projects provide a predictable, passive revenue stream for years, delivering stable cash flow and long‑term financial certainty.
Increase your property value
A long-term lease agreement expands your site’s uses, which maximizes its value and increases its capitalization “cap” rate.
Make your property work twice as hard
Leasing your property creates a dual purpose by providing a second revenue stream.

WORKING TOGETHER
How We Partner With Owners
We work with landowners, commercial real estate companies, and other asset owners to develop solar or storage projects that are mutually beneficial over the long-term. Here’s how it works:
Property Assessment
Our project experts assess the suitability of your land, parking lot, or rooftop for a solar or storage project, evaluating the property's size, available sunlight, local policies, and the availability of utility interconnection.

Contracting
We finalize the lease terms, including project scope and a long-term payment structure of 20-35 years.

FAQs
What property owners ask most
We want to preserve this land for our family’s future and for agricultural use. What happens to the solar system at the end of its life, and will it harm the soil?
At the end of the solar system’s useful life—typically 25–30 years—the equipment will be fully removed, and the land will be restored to its prior condition. The project is designed to have no lasting impact on the soil, structure, or land, ensuring it remains suitable for future agricultural, development, or family use. All decommissioning work and costs are handled 100% by ForeFront, including equipment removal and site restoration. Afterward, the land can immediately return to farming or other intended uses.
What can I expect in terms of landscaping and ongoing maintenance? Are agrivoltaic options available?
The site will be maintained at no cost to you. We handle all landscaping, vegetation management, and system servicing to ensure the property remains in good condition throughout the project's life—at no effort or expense to you. In addition, solar projects can support agrivoltaic opportunities, such as sheep grazing or native plantings, which help manage vegetation naturally while maintaining soil health and agricultural productivity. These practices can coexist with the solar system and provide continued agricultural value during operation.
What happens if my property taxes go up?
We work proactively with you to mitigate property tax issues and potential increases that could result from our projects.
What if I need to sell my land/building?
This is generally a straightforward process. The lease is attached to the land, so it will flow to the new owner and can even increase the property value and purchase price of the land due to the long-term revenue stream that solar creates.
How long until I start receiving lease payments?
Every state differs in its program and utility milestones, but we will be open and transparent about your payment timeline throughout the development process.
How many acres or square feet do I need?
For battery storage projects, sites typically require between 5,000 and 20,000 square feet, depending on the system size and configuration. Solar projects generally require 10 to 30 acres, based on capacity, layout, and site conditions.
